Hegenberger Mixed-Use Transit Center, Oalkand, California

Hegenberger Mixed-Use Transit Center – Oakland, California - Valued Places located and secured funding to explore the potential repositioning of an underperforming office complex located in the vicinity of the Oakland International Airport in Oakland, California. We worked with the City of Oakland, Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and the property owner in an effort to develop a plan that would produce positives for each of those constituencies. The redevelopment possibilities include an airport annex parking facility, a convention center, hotel and office complex, upgrading of an existing eight-story office building and apartment condominiums. The key element of the concept is the ability to have a tax-funded BART station adjacent to the subject property.
